Let’s get the CircoArts family back together
How good would it be to get the CircoArts family back together?
We’re dreaming of a big CircoArts reunion: a whole week somewhere beautiful in New Zealand to catch up, play, have fun and reminisce.
At this stage, it’s an idea rather than a fixed plan. We’d like to find out who’s interested, what dates might work and who would like to help make it happen.

This is for everyone with a strong connection to CircoArts in Christchurch, the circus school that unfortunately had to close its doors after the February 2011 earthquake.
Whether you studied there for a few months or a few years, were a teacher, a rigger or connected in some other way, this is for you. Partners and families are very welcome too.
Please help us find all the ex-Circos out there and share this with your CircoArts mates.

We want to give everyone plenty of time to save up for the trip and plan their lives around it. We’re currently thinking of early 2029, but we want to hear from you before making any decisions.
We’re imagining a whole week together, with plenty of time to catch up, play and simply enjoy being together. Think of it as a holiday with the Circo family—the most fantastic family there is... ;-)
Where?

In New Zealand, for sure.
Somewhere with rooms and beds for those who like a bit more comfort—and the option to camp for those who prefer to keep it cheaper.
Somewhere with space to be, play and connect.
Somewhere surrounded by beautiful nature.
Somewhere affordable.
We’re thinking of a Scout camp or something similar. Do you have an idea? Know a place? Let us know.

In other words: who had the initial idea and made this website?
So far, it’s Jamee Campbell and Pascal Häring (no, not Pascal Ackermann—the other one...). We were both part of the final CircoArts intake: the group that was there during the 2010 earthquake and then had the chance to complete its second year in Melbourne.
Please let us know if you’re happy to help—we’d love you to join us. We’ll particularly need people in New Zealand to check out possible venues, and closer to the event, we’ll need a whole team to make it happen. We can’t do it alone.
